Behind the Net – Goalie Skill Clinic
Most goals scored from below the goal line aren’t because the goalie couldn’t make the save—they happen because the goalie wasn’t prepared for what came next.
In this Goalie Assistant Skill Clinic, goalies will learn how to confidently defend everything that starts from behind the net. From wraparounds and walkouts to jam plays, pass-outs, in-tight one-timers, and net-front battles, we’ll teach goalies how to stay patient, control the post, recover quickly, and win the next play.
We’ll begin with a 50-minute dryland session, where we’ll break down movement, positioning, post awareness, and how to recognize the different scoring threats that develop below the goal line. Then we’ll head to the ice and apply those concepts through reps, reps, and more reps in game-like situations designed to build confidence and improve decision-making.
Clinic Details
Date: Saturday, July 25
Dryland: 4:00 PM – Approximately 4:50 PM
Gear Up: 4:50–5:15 PM (30 minutes to change into goalie gear)
On-Ice Session: 5:15–6:15 PM
Location: Monument Ice Rinks – Monument, CO
Cost: $75 per goalie
Limited to 16 goalies to ensure every goalie receives quality coaching, maximum repetitions, and individual feedback.

We’ll finish the clinic with competitive game situations that challenge goalies to apply everything they’ve learned in realistic, high-pressure scenarios.
Who Is This Clinic For?
This clinic is designed for goalies who already have basic skating and goalie experience and are looking to improve one of the most challenging areas of the position. It is not intended for brand-new beginner goalies.
