The program builds each level, increasing reps, sets, or drills. Some drills may require:
- A partner to throw balls.
- A bench, step, or knee pad.
- Goalie pads for several drills.
All drills can be done at home, without ice, weights, or fancy gym equipment.
Beginning Goaltending
Our Beginning Goaltending Training Program is designed specifically for newcomers like you who are eager to learn the fundamentals of goaltending and build a solid foundation for future success.
It’s a 4 week program, focusing on the basic fundamentals of goaltending.
Goalie Training Program Level 1
This is a complete 18 week training program for hockey goalies. This program covers:
- Tracking
- Saves – watching the ball into your hand
- Reaction – trusting your instincts to catch the ball
- Vision – Catching and tracking at the same time
- Stick Skills
- Stick Strength & Control – To direct rebounds
- Handling – to control and pass pucks
- Shooting – To clear pucks out of the zone.
